New Carbon-based Filter
A group of experts at the University of Manchester, U.K., have developed a membrane “sieve” that can eradicate salt from sea water with the help of “graphene”, a wafer-thin carbon sheet. The process uses carbon dioxide and porous materials to filter any impurities from water and consumes 1000 times less energy than existing processes.
